A Harry Potter-Themed Bar Just Opened In Toronto And That’s All You Need To Know Today

Harry Potter fans, this one is for you.

The Lockhart, a new, Harry Potter-themed bar in Toronto, Canada in now open for business and you have to check it out. The bar – which resembles a modern apothecary – features multiple references to the iconic J.K. Rowling-penned books, such as a hidden Deathly Hallows symbol, as well as a collection of Harry Potter POP! dolls.

It was named after the ladies’ man, author and the most useless Defense Against The Dark Arts professor ever, Gilderoy Lockhart, and the bar’s interior has hints of Harry Potter’s Patronus everywhere. When it comes to cocktails, the bar – owned by Paris Xerx and Matt Rocks – offers Ludo’s Debt, Befuddlement Brew and The Shacklebolt, in addition to a drink with such an obscure reference, The Lockhart promises you’ll get it for free if you can figure it out!

Moreover, there’s a neon sign on the wall that references a quote from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”: “The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well.” All IS well, Toronto, because you gave us this bar.

The Lockhart has a brief tapas menu, and the owners are planning to include a brunch menu in the near future. Meanwhile, Potterheads can look out for events such as accio Halloween parties and trivia nights, and they’ll be happy to know that a Butterbeer will become available pretty soon as well.
