There’s always next year.
Beyoncé has been forced to cancel her headlining appearance at California’s Coachella music festival in April. The pop superstar – who is pregnant with twins – needs to reduce her schedule on doctor’s orders.
The ‘Formation’ singer was scheduled to perform over two weekends at the festival on April 15 and April 22. It has been confirmed that she will headline the event in 2018 instead.
A statement on the festival’s Facebook page read: “Following advice of doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule, Beyonce has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.”
Coachella is yet to announce who will replace Beyoncé. The other headliners at this year’s festival – which is based in Indio – will be Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar. Earlier this month, the ‘Crazy In Love’ singer performed at the Grammys, where she showed off her baby bump and took home two awards.
