Don’t let it go, little one!
A father from Virginia is being praised for his parenting after he openly supported his son’s decision to dress up as Elsa from ‘Frozen’ for Halloween. Paul Henson took to Facebook to share a photo of his three-year-old son Caiden proudly wearing the blue costume.
The 28-year-old dad wrote: “Anyone that knows us, knows we generally let Caiden make his own choices, to an extent. Well, he has decided on a Halloween costume. He wants to be Elsa. He also wants me to be Anna. Game on.” He also added: “Keep your masculine bullsh*t and slutty kids costumes, Halloween is about children pretending to be their favorite characters. It just so happens, this week his is a princess.”
In the cute photo – which has been shared more than 28,000 times since last week – Caiden poses for his dad in the blue princess dress, and with his tongue out. The dad-of-one revealed that he decided to publish his son’s choice of Halloween costume after Caiden was bullied in school.
Henson and Caiden’s mother, Ashley Ramage, encouraged their son to dress up as Elsa, and even suggested that he could be Elsa’s younger sister, Anna. After that, the three-year-old decided to stick with his original costume choice, while his proud dad is being applauded for letting his child express himself without socially-imposed restrictions.
