Taylor Swift Donates $50,000 To A Young Fan Battling Leukemia

Taylor Swift loves her fans, and she keeps proving it, time and time again!

Naomi Oakes, an 11-year-old girl from Arizona, was recently diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. Her form of cancer is so aggressive, she needs to stay in the hospital for the next 6 to 9 months to undergo treatment. The little girl was heartbroken when she realized she would have to miss Swift’s concert in Phoenix on August 18.

Naomi is a dedicated Swiftie, and her favorite song on the ‘1989’ album is ‘Bad Blood’, an anthem about conquering your enemy and moving on. She has decided to adopt the catchy and inspirational tune as her new ‘fight song’ while she’s in the hospital.

Naomi’s family set up a GoFundMe page to help deal with her medical expenses. Swift heard about her little fan’s health problems and had no hesitation about helping out. The pop superstar not only donated $50,000 to the girl’s family, she also left a wonderful, personal message to Naomi: “To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I’m sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Lets focus on getting you feeling better. I’m sending the biggest hugs to you and your family.”

Naomi and her family were amazed by Swift’s generosity and kindness. They thanked the ‘Blank Space’ singer on their GoFundMe page, and even posted a video of Naomi’s reaction when she discovered her message was seen by her favorite singer in the entire world!
