Taylor Swift Donates $50,000 To Her Backup Dancer’s Nephew Who Is Diagnosed With Cancer

Taylor Swift is no stranger to helping out families in need, but this time was slightly different, because it hit a little bit closer to home for her.

On September 30, Kim “Toshi” Davidson – one of the pop superstar’s backup dancers – shared a photo of his 13-month-old nephew Ayden, and announced that the adorable toddler had been diagnosed with cancer. In addition to that, he shared a link to a GoFundMe page, asking for donations to help Ayden and his mother.

The GoFundMe goal was initially set at $20,000, and Toshi was shocked to find out that Swift left a $50,000 donation on their page a few hours later. “Baby Ayden, I’m lucky enough to perform with your uncle Toshi on tour,” the ‘Shake It Off’ singer wrote. “All of us are praying for you and your mama and sending so much love your way. Love, Taylor.”

Following Swift’s generous donation, Ayden’s mom left a message for her: “Taylor you have taken an enormous weight off my shoulders by allowing me to walk this journey with my son and be his protector. I know this is a battle you are familiar with but something no one can be prepared for. So thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I will be forever grateful to Taylor and each and every person who made a contribution to Ayden’s fight.”

Get well soon, little one!
