Dorm room goals.
When it comes to dorm room decorations, a couple of posters, pictures of high school friends and a set of string lights will do for most college students. However, that isn’t the case for Lindy Goodson and Abby Bozeman, roommates at Ole Miss.
The two University of Mississippi freshmen met on social media, and have been planning their dorm decor since December. Bozeman says: “She lives in Illinois and I live in Mississippi, so it was like a long distance thing. We really weren’t sure everything was going to go together, but then we got here, and it does.”
The students at Ole Miss are reportedly very competitive when it comes to dorm room decor, so the two girls were on a mission to come up with something extravagant and beautiful. And they did it all without ever meeting in person to see how it looked!
Goodson and Bozeman bought the majority of the decor at T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Pottery Barn, as well as local furniture and antique stores. On the other hand, their bedskirts, headboard, and pillows were custom made.
After moving in on Monday, the duo shared photos of their dorm room on social media, and yes, everyone went crazy over it. In fact, their posts got so much attention that Goodson ended up making her Twitter private.
Regardless of that, she says that she doesn’t mind “the people who were a little sassy on Twitter.” Goodman adds: “We’re living here for a year. We can reuse stuff, and my younger sister is going to reuse a lot of stuff.”
