We can all go home now.
Meet Katie Dippold. Back in June, the comedian took to Twitter to reminisce about the time she accidentally showed up to a Halloween party dressed like the Babadook. The hilarious tweet has been shared more than 73,000 times and has over 139,000 likes.
Yep, it’s epic. The 36-year-old spoke about the awkward experience, saying everything was “very exciting at first, but then when it came down to just sitting down and having a glass of wine and watching an entire movie, then it felt different.”
This Halloween, David Sanchez from Chicago decided to recreate Dippold’s iconic Babadook disaster. It’s pretty much the best sequel ever:
The 33-year-old said that he came up with the idea to flip Dippold’s tweet about a month ago. His post went viral quickly: it has been retweeted almost 20,000 times and has over 41,000 likes.
Sanchez said he was shocked at how viral his tweet has gone, especially given the fact he had only 57 followers when he first posted the genius photo. He adds: “I think one of my friends even commented on the ratio of followers to retweets was astronomical.”
Thank you for these gifts, Halloween.
